Concrete Canvas is a flexible, cement-impregnated fabric that hardens upon hydration to form a thin, durable, waterproof, and fire-resistant concrete layer. It features a 3D fiber matrix woven from polyethylene and polypropylene filaments, containing a specially formulated dry concrete mix. The primary chemical constituents of the calcium aluminate cement are Al₂O₃, CaO, SiO₂, and Fe₂O₃. The underside of the canvas is lined with a PVC backing to ensure complete waterproofing. Installation requires no on-site concrete mixing equipment; hydration is triggered simply by spraying water onto the material or immersing it in water. Once set, the fibers reinforce the concrete, preventing cracking. Currently, the material is available in a thickness of 10mm.

1) Ease of Use
Concrete Canvas is supplied in bulk rolls, facilitating manual handling and transport without the need for heavy lifting machinery. The concrete mix is scientifically pre-formulated, eliminating the need for on-site mixing and preventing issues related to over-hydration. It can set and cure effectively in both freshwater and seawater environments.
2) Rapid Setting and Curing
Once hydration is initiated by adding water, the material remains workable for up to two hours, allowing for necessary adjustments to its shape and size. It hardens to achieve 80% of its ultimate strength within 24 hours. Special formulations are also available to meet specific user requirements for rapid or delayed setting times.
3) Environmentally Friendly
Concrete Canvas is a low-mass, low-carbon technology; for many applications, it utilizes up to 95% less material than conventional concrete methods. It has low alkalinity and a very low washout rate, resulting in minimal impact on the local ecosystem.
4) Flexibility in application
Concrete Canvas offers excellent drape, allowing it to conform to the complex shapes of the surfaces it covers, including double-curved geometries. Before setting, the material can be easily cut or trimmed using standard hand tools.
5) High material strength
The fibers within the material reinforce its strength and prevent cracking; they also absorb impact energy and ensure a stable failure mode.
6) Long-term durability
Concrete Canvas exhibits excellent chemical resistance and withstands weathering; it does not degrade under UV exposure from sunlight.
7) Waterproof properties
The underside features a PVC backing that renders the material completely waterproof and further enhances its chemical resistance.
8) Fire resistance
Concrete Canvas is non-combustible and offers excellent fire-retardant properties; it produces minimal smoke and negligible hazardous emissions when exposed to fire. It meets the European fire safety standard for construction materials (Class B-s1, d0).
