HDPE Geomembrane
HDPE geomembrane (High-Density Polyethylene geomembrane) is a modern waterproofing and barrier material widely used across various engineering sectors. It offers excellent impermeability, corrosion resistance, and chemical stability, and can be processed to meet specific project requirements. Applications include hydraulic engineering, canals, reservoirs, sewage lagoons, swimming pools, building construction, underground structures, landfills, and environmental engineering projects.
I. Product Introduction:
Material: HDPE geomembrane is a geosynthetic material made from high-density polyethylene. The raw material consists of white granules characterized by high crystallinity and a non-polar nature; it offers excellent heat and cold resistance, high stability, resistance to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents, as well as superior electrical insulation properties.
Thickness: Available in various standard thicknesses, typically ranging from 0.3 mm to 2.0 mm, with different thicknesses suited to specific engineering needs.
Appearance: Available in both smooth and textured (rough) finishes. Smooth HDPE geomembranes feature a flat surface that reduces contact resistance and enhances water flow, thereby further improving impermeability. Textured HDPE geomembranes have a rough surface that increases friction against contact surfaces; they are commonly used in applications requiring slip resistance, such as installations on slopes.
Performance Characteristics:
Excellent impermeability: Features a high impermeability coefficient that effectively prevents water leakage, making it a superior waterproofing material.
High tensile strength and elongation at break: Capable of withstanding significant tensile forces and stresses without snapping or rupturing, and highly adaptable to strains caused by uneven geological settlement.
Good weatherability and aging resistance: Retains its original performance properties over long periods of use, ensuring a long service life even in outdoor environments.
Chemical stability: Resistant to corrosion from strong acids, alkalis, and oils, making it suitable for use in a wide range of complex chemical environments.
